ecology of fear

Ecology of Fear is a 15-screen immersive video installation that engulfs viewers in a fragmented, looping tapestry of ennui, social upheaval, and sensory overload. Originally unveiled during a late-night gallery rave, this relentless audiovisual experience mirrors the chaos of our contemporary moment—a world gripped by kleptocratic exploitation, digital delusion, and ecological collapse.

Thick, hissing loops of garage dubstep and flickering neon signs (“Don’t Worry, The Future Will Be Confusing”) saturate the space, creating a disorienting ecstasy that feels both oppressive and hypnotic. Iterating endlessly without clear beginnings or ends, the installation traps its audience in a feedback loop of anxiety and despair, evoking the inescapable noise of social media misinformation, surveillance culture, and geopolitical dysfunction. It’s a visceral plunge into the maelstrom of our time—a suffocating yet strangely euphoric confrontation with a world on the brink.
